The most recent is "GAIT" (shown below right) A comprehensive overview of human gait - the stride and how the feet, ankles, legs and hips are involved. There is a natural range of different gaits. Understanding the differences allows for the fitting of shoes which best suit the gait characteristics of the individual.
To complement the previous Beep Test, Situps and Pushups, the 2.4km run is another Australian Defence Force exercise to assess basic fitness by gender and age. The ADF is serious about occupational health and fitness, so you can be assured that their methods of doing exercises are among the least likely to cause injury. If you can match their minimum requirements in these tests for your gender/age, you are doing well (and remember, this is basic fitness).

For those of you unfamiliar with Facebook, anyone can view the information we provide. To interact (e.g. LIKE) and comment to anything you must join up (supplying an email/password).
